Catholic Schools Week (CSW) is an annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States, and it starts this Sunday, January 26, 2020! Our 15 Independence Mission Schools will observe the week with Masses, open houses and other activities for students, families, parishioners and community members. Through these events, our schools focus on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to Church, local communities and the nation.
This year’s theme is “Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.” In our 15 Independence Mission Schools we are all learners, servants and leaders. We teach students to prepare for academic success and to become faith-filled disciples and enriched citizens. We also encourage and support our educators to grow in their own lives. These shared qualities are what make Catholic schools work. They are what make Catholic schools succeed.
And it shows – Over 70% of our 8th grade graduates continue their education in Catholic high schools, elite private schools or select Charter schools and after that many are college-bound.
Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter all week long – each day, you’ll learn about the IMS difference and see how our 15 Independence Mission Schools are celebrating their parishes, community, students, teachers and families.#CSW20
