Jill Valunas has joined IMS as Chief of Schools. She will be instrumental in executing our five-year strategic plan, which aims to make IMS a leader in achieving positive educational results at a large scale. Jill is responsible for managing professional and leadership development within our 14 schools and for ensuring that we are providing best-in-class academics to help our students achieve significant growth in
math and reading.
A mission-driven person, Jill is focused on creating an equitable and exceptional education for all children. She believes deeply that a healthy, caring, joyful and thriving culture built on meaningful relationships is key to human development and success. Jill has been a highly regarded educator and educational leader for over 20 years, with experience in the Philadelphia region’s Catholic, charter and public-school systems. Most recently, she was executive director of the Children’s Literacy Initiative.
Raised in a Catholic environment, Jill attended Catholic school and understands the value of a Catholic education. To recharge, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, walking, and any kind of water sport. She resides in Blue Bell with her husband and two sons.
