Earlier this month, FXI, a leading provider of comfort solutions headquartered in Radnor, PA, partnered with Odyssey Teams, a corporate team building group, to organize the team building event tethered to its senior leadership team’s annual development meeting. FXI’s Senior Leadership Team commits one day during this meeting to community service. Their aim is to support a local organization in a truly meaningful way.

This year, that organization was us, Independence Missions Schools. And we are in total awe of what happened.

FXI leadership team members split up into 14 groups, with one gathering at each of our schools. On site, they worked with students to create mosaics, unique to each school.

“It was wonderful to work with the kids on such meaningful projects,” said FXI CEO Harold Earley. “There’s so much talent and passion among them, and the dedication of their faculty and staff is truly inspiring. We’re honored to be a part of this.”

Beyond the on-site activities, FXI team members donated over $700,000 of gifts and goods in support of the students, teachers – and at some schools – even their families.

Seven. Hundred. Thousand. Dollars.

“It’s stunning,” said IMS Chief Executive Officer, Gianna R. D’Angelo. “The FXI team contributed financial gifts, in addition to school supplies, games, technology, furniture, snacks, drinks, athletic equipment, classroom decor… If you can think of something that kindergarteners to eighth graders and teachers would love, FXI delivered it. Through a series of connections, they were even able to donate exclusive NASCAR experiences that we will raffle off to raise even more money for our students! We are overwhelmed and so grateful.”
