Our St. Rose of Lima scholars continue to bless the community with their voices! On November 5th, St. Rose of Lima was one of three schools invited to the Memorial of St. Martin de Porres at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Philadelphia, and Saint Katharine Drexel Shrine. Our talented scholars, along with their full-time music teacher, Mr. Jones had an amazing performance!

Thanks to their great performance, our scholars were also invited to sing at the Interfaith Prayer Service commemorating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Community on January 14th.

At both events, students had the honor and privilege of meeting Archbishop Nelson Perez and taking photos with him. Our scholars left such a great impression on the Archbishop that when he saw them in January, he remembered them from their performance in November. Our scholars were even given a shout-out on his Facebook page! We are so thankful to have been part of these extraordinary days of worship, made possible by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Office for Black Catholics, which provided our scholars with the opportunity to serve not only the St. Rose of Lima community but the Catholic community of Philadelphia.
