The students at Our Mother of Sorrows/St. Ignatius Catholic School were in for a treat when the Philadelphia Flyers brought their Flyers Recess program to their school! From playing ball hockey to getting their groove on with Gritty it was an event they will never forget! Each student received two tickets to a Flyers game and the school received a donation of equipment and Flyers jerseys to use during PE class. Watch the news clip below!

About Flyers Recess:
The Philadelphia Flyers and Wegmans are proud to present Flyers Recess, a free school assembly program aimed at getting elementary children interested in hockey. The program will kick off with an interactive assembly where students can learn more about hockey and The Philadelphia Flyers. In addition to a school assembly, each school’s PE teacher will receive equipment and a manual to launch a street hockey curriculum in their PE classes.
