Seasoned development executive now leading fundraising for Philadelphia-Area Catholic school network

Philadelphia, PA – DEC. 2023 – Independence Mission Schools (IMS) has appointed Erin Wooley as its Chief Advancement Officer. With over two decades of experience in fundraising, Wooley will serve as an active member of the Executive Leadership Team with responsibility for leading and implementing IMS’ fundraising strategies, managing and building the advancement team, and driving advocacy and awareness for IMS’ mission.

“I am honored to join a community dedicated to empowering young minds and inspiring their futures,” says Wooley. ” We stand at the intersection of education and advocacy, and I am excited to lead our efforts in advancing our mission of making a values-based education in an academically rigorous environment accessible to all students.”

Most recently, Wooley served as the Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Chestnut Hill College, a private Catholic college in Philadelphia. During her tenure, Wooley raised more than $32 million in just three and a half years, effecting a complete transformation in the philanthropic culture of the College.

Wooley holds a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from York College of Pennsylvania
and an MBA from Philadelphia University.
